Artist, writer, and producer Sabyn returns with the digital release of Long Live on Owepar Records, a striking new album that captures the spirit of reinvention and the determination to always keep creating, regardless of any obstacles.

The term “long live” is inspired by anything that fuels a person’s sense of possibility—dreams, passions, and the to remain present. Sabyn is a member of the Owens/Parton family and is the nephew of Dolly Parton and Floyd Parton, and the son of their brother Randy Parton.

Long Live marks a major turning point in Sabyn’s two-decade journey making music. After years of personal and artistic evolution—including his own recovery—he enters this new chapter with clarity and intention. The music reflects a man who has matured as an artist, a father, a son, and a friend. These songs are built for listeners who have lived a little, people who still crave the thump and drive of hip hop, but want lyrics that carry depth, experience, and perspective. The bravado of his early material has not disappeared, but it’s now shaped by reflection, discipline, and the desire to create something that stands the test of time.

Sabyn was born in Tennessee, but grew up in Los Angeles, where he was exposed to film and music at a young age on set of videos for some of the era’s most prominent artists, such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Don Henley, and Aerosmith. In 2010, he made his recording debut with It’s A Long Dark Road, a country/hip-hop fusion followed by a handful of music projects, but film became his primary focus for a long time.

Sabyn’s identity is deeply rooted in both Nashville and Los Angeles, a duality that helped shape the sound of Long Live. His songs carry the grounding nature of Southern heritage alongside the expansive, genre-blending influence of West Coast culture. His recovery journey is a major inspiration that informs every facet of his life and artistry. While Long Live is not a recovery-themed album, the stability and purpose he’s found through that work are woven throughout. Helping others who face similar struggles has become one of the most meaningful aspects of his life while serving as CEO of The Bridge to Recovery, a trauma and codependency treatment center located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. His sense of empathy and clarity comes from that commitment and resonates across the record.

The album opens with “Thank You, Jesus,” a warm, uplifting instrumental that sets the tone for what follows. “A Part of My Life,” built around a sample of his father Randy, moves from an airy intro into a rapid, hard-hitting cadence that teases the momentum of the record. Sabyn also pays homage to his childhood with a reimagining of “Elvira,” honoring memories of his grandfather and the music they shared. The title track was the first song created and set the tone for the entire project. Influenced by modern country-hip hop hybrids, Sabyn delivers his own interpretation of the style — dynamic, beat-driven, and unmistakably his. Created in collaboration with longtime partner Jake Angel, the track laid the creative foundation for the remaining songs.

With Long Live, Sabyn offers the most complete picture yet of who he is and what drives him — an artist committed to growth, grounded in resilience, and determined to create work that lasts. This album is not only a new chapter; it’s a declaration of longevity, purpose, and the unshakable will to keep going.
